Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra
The Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra was formed in the year 2000 to build on the success of the the Cheshire Youth Orchestra.
The CYTO consists of able and talented young musicians from Cheshire and its surrounding areas.
The aim of the CYTO is not only to help develop individuals by playing in an ensemble but also for its members to enjoy themselves.
Good orchestral training is given to provide a clear route into the Cheshire Youth Orchestra.
CYTO provides an excellent foundation for future orchestral success.
The Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra
Members of the CYTO have the opportunity to audition for the Cheshire Youth Orchestra, when they have reached the required musical standard.
The orchestra has performed at the Audlem Proms and regularly gives concerts throughout Cheshire.
The orchestra rehearses alongside the CYO in Hartford, Northwich, on selected Saturday mornings during term time.
There are four buses provided from different parts of the county.

Membership
Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra welcome talented young musicians who:
Are under the age of 21.
Play any orchestra instruments and have achieved:
-Grade 4 standard or above for Wind and Brass.
-Grade 3 standard for Strings.
If no exams have been taken a teacher's recommendations should be sent with the application
form.

Auditions
There is an open audition for the Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra on Saturday 22nd September 2007 at mid Cheshire College. The Orchestra is always looking to recruit talented new members and this year we would especially like to hear from brass and string players. If you have never plaedy in an ensemble and feel that you would like to play for Cheshire's leading Training Youth Orchestra, email: friends@cheshireyouthorchestra.org and we will arrange an audition time for you.
